Democrats upset about their own amendment

Republican Rep. Bill Dunn’s bill to declare duties of county election administrators, which had moved without controversy through House committees, sparked strong objections on the floor Monday night from House Democratic Leader Gary Odom.

Dunn said the language Odom cited was an amendment offered by a Democrat and that he does not believe it would have the impact Odom fears. But he agreed to postpone a vote on the measure until next week to let lawyers review the measure (HB3056).
